Vintage Indian Advertisements 2.14

  1. For the mid 60’s that’s impressive ad work.

The plasticware ad must have been every housewife’s dream .. i can imagine how they would be attracted to that.

But I like the simplicity of the finlay’s fabric’s ad.

Oh and although this isn’t the place to ask I’ll still break the rules and ask .. how’s the patient, feeling any better now?

  2. Appu Have started going to work. The medicines will continue for a few days more.

San This ad was a revelation for me. I was under the impression that plasticware is a recent phenomenon, about a decade-and-a-half old. When I was a kid, all containers in our household was either steel, alumunium, glass or clay. Plastic was nowhere around.

The patient is recovering well. Only the restrictions imposed by the doctor hurts.

  3. Ha ha I am guessing you have been asked not to take any alcohol because you are on antibiotics?
How are you doing now.Just read your last post.It made enlightening reading.I have to painfully admit I am extremely ignorant about those issues.

  4. Educatedunemployed It takes one doc to precisely decipher what the other had meant, even though the patient didn’t disclose the details.

  5. you do have a lot of things archaic!! dunno, how i landed here… but the first sip was GOOD!! love the chai!

ad critic! every pseduo journalist’s dream!!

how does the lingua franca go .. umm.. haan… rock on!! 🙂

  6. Educatedunemployed What I meant was that you hit the nail on the head and I was praising a doc’s deduction. Its wasn’t prying. Just a little game of deciphering the clue.

  7. sammy, dump the antibiotics, take a shot of whisky and watch a comedy movie. :)) take care. When i am unwell and i am forced to obey the doc, i usually sit in my balcony, and stare at the traffic. Its deep. :))
